The Book Club: The Kitchen House

Share it Please
I like to rotate in my reading. First I'll read a light, fun book. Then I read something deeper, whether it be a dark mystery, or a thought provoking memoir. Today I present to you The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom, a mysterious historical fiction.

I have heard great things. The bits and pieces friends have shared have me intrigued. I'm hooked and I haven't even started reading.

This book is telling the story of Virginia during it's slavery days and we will hear from both Lavinia, an orphaned Irish immigrant, and Belle, an African American child of rape.

I plan to have my own opinion of The Kitchen House posted in a week. If you've read this book before let me know what you thought of it in the comments below. If not, let me know if you plan on picking it up!
