My View This Morning

The Balloon Fiesta is nearly here and that means lots of pretty balloons in the sky! The pilots have begun practicing for their big launches and flying competitions and come out in droves. On my morning walk I saw about 10 balloons and I didn't even leave my house until 7:50 a.m. Normally flying weather is best earlier in the day (the Ascension takes place at 5:45 a.m. during the balloon fiesta).
I took the best pictures I could with my iPhone, but the balloons are quite high up and while they look bright, big, and clear to the human eye its a little harder to capture that with a phone camera. I'll be going to two different events for the Balloon Fiesta starting on October 5th and I'm planning on taking lots of beautiful balloon pictures for you then. For now these will have to suffice. Try to imagine the smell of green chile while you look at them.
