Advent Day Fourteen

Share it Please
Christmas is a time of year I think nearly everyone enjoys, but as you become an adult it tends to lose a bit of the magic it had when you were a kid. I wanted to give some of that magic back to my husband so I created an advent calendar tailored specifically for him. If you would like to make one I posted a tutorial on how I made mine here. If you are curious about the origins of the advent calendar there is a nice little history here.

December 14: Fourteenth Day of Advent

Today we are going on a day trip! I even made a laminated schedule of the The Rail Runner Express weekend schedule. The Rail Runner Express (the New Mexico train) is having a day where Santa is riding the train from Albuquerque to Santa Fe and meeting people and taking pictures with them. Volunteers will be reading Christmas stories a loud to passengers. Santa's Village has been relocated to the Santa Fe Depot where there will be free cocoa, coffee, ornament making, art, music, and a playhouse with reindeer games and prizes. I think it will be lots of fun. Then when we've tired ourselves out with that we will head over to The Shed, a New Mexican food restaurant that we always eat at in Santa Fe. After that we may wander into some art galleries if we have time to kill before our train back and head home!
