Christmas is a time of year I think nearly everyone enjoys, but as you
become an adult it tends to lose a bit of the magic it had when you were
a kid. I wanted to give some of that magic back to my husband so I
created an advent calendar tailored specifically for him. If you would
like to make one I posted a tutorial on how I made mine
here. If you are curious about the origins of the advent calendar there is a nice little history
here.
December 17: Seventeenth Day of Advent
Today's Advent was a bit of a bust, but I think it will still be fun in the end. We are going to build ginger bread houses together! But as I don't yet have the supplies and have to pop by the store after work I thought that if I did a "look for me" and hid candy and graham crackers that I could have Hubby guess what we would make from them. Trouble was we didn't have graham crackers. Trouble was that when Eastwood got back from his walk he immediately sniffed out the candy so Hubby found it before we even got to the advent calendar. Then, since we were out of graham crackers he had to guess what we were doing solely based off the candy... which meant I ended up just telling him what we were doing all without touching the Advent calendar bag. Of course I made him pose with it afterward so I could take a picture.
Every day I read about this I seriously love it more. You are so creative! I hope you had a good time making them!

Thank you! That means a lot! I've been having a ton of fun coming up with what to give him each day. The most fun part is seeing his reaction.
