Christmas is a time of year I think nearly everyone enjoys, but as you
become an adult it tends to lose a bit of the magic it had when you were
a kid. I wanted to give some of that magic back to my husband so I
created an advent calendar tailored specifically for him. If you would
like to make one I posted a tutorial on how I made mine
here. If you are curious about the origins of the advent calendar there is a nice little history
here.
December 12: Twelfth Day of Advent
Today I made a mistake! I couldn't remember what I had put in bag 12... because I hadn't put anything in bag 12! I had left a few bags empty for gifts that were coming later and this was one of them. I just hadn't actually remembered to fill it. Thankfully I had a few of the upcoming presents squirreled away in my office so I told Hubby to close his eyes while I got one of them and hid it in the living room. Then I had him look until he found it. Today's gift was a poster for
The Wolverine which he has wanted for a while. I'll help him pick out a frame so he can hang it up in his office this week. And don't worry, I know what is in the rest of the bags. I'll have to make sure all the rest of the gifts get put in the bags this weekend!
I'm glad you were able to come up with a way for him to find his gift! This sounds like such a fun tradition!

Thank you! I've been having a lot of fun with this and plan to keep doing it for years to come.
