Happy New Year!

Share it Please

It is hard to believe that 2013 is already over, I felt like it flew by! There were a lot of great moments last year: I moved into my current house, found and adopted my dog, started this blog, and got married to my wonderful husband! I feel like my adult life is off to a pretty great start and I'm looking forward to seeing where it takes me.

While I'm not crazy about New Year's Resolutions, I do have some goals that I would like to accomplish over the next year. First off I would like to refresh my Spanish. I used to be fairly fluent, but I haven't been using it for the last 5 years. I want to go back and start studying again so I don't lose everything I worked so hard to learn. Knowing a second language is a great asset. Second, I want to continue blogging and become better at it than I am now. I want to take better pictures, write better posts, have better tutorials... just generally improve my blogging skills. Third, I would like to write a novel. It's not something I've talked a lot about on here, but I graduated with an English writing degree in 2012 and had started writing a book. I've been pretty lazy with my personal writing this last year so I haven't made very much progress on it. I don't know that I would finish the whole book in 2014, that might be pushing it a little much, but I would like to see regular progress on it. All three goals are pretty time consuming, so that's all I'm going to assign myself for the coming year. If I do a really good job on all three of them over the next 365 days I will be thrilled come 2015.

I hope you all had a wonderful, safe, and happy New Year's Eve! I'd love to hear about your plans, goals, and resolutions below!

  1. 3 awesome resolutions lady :) Dunno how I stumbled here but I'm glad I did. You are the cutest thing I've seen. A writing degree! How exciting! I still am yet to attain my degree. It's gonna be an uphill struggle while paying off my car and stuff come mid year. Hehe.

We got this though, 2014 is our year :)

    1. Thank you! What are you getting your degree in? I'm sure you'll get there. Working and going to school is challenging, but do-able if you are dedicated! Good luck and thanks for stopping by!
