This may seem like a funny one, but nearly everyone I know is watching Downton Abbey or wants to be. For those who haven't seen the show, Downton Abbey is essentially a very pretty and historically based soap opera that begins in 1912. I started watching it about two to three weeks ago and have already watched all three seasons that are out on DVD, that's how good it is. I think there were only two days when I didn't watch a single episode in those few weeks. It's addicting.
Find It Free
Many people I know want to watch the show for free. While yes, you can find and stream this video online, I'm not going to advocate illegal streaming. If that's the route you choose to go you probably already have enough experience to find it in the first place. Other than that, however, there a few ways to watch this show for free.- The first and most obvious option is to find a friend that has purchased the DVDs and borrow them. Easy-peasy.
- The second option is to go to your local library. Almost every library seems to have this show available to check out. The downside? Waiting for the person before you to return it.
- Find a friend who recorded every episode on their DVR. This is the least convenient option because you'll have to go over to their house every time you want to watch your show.
- Do you have Amazon Prime? Then you already have free access to Downton Abbey. It's one of their instant streaming options (a similar program to Netflix). Don't have Amazon Prime and don't want to pay for it? Never fear, they have a 30 day free trial. I watched all the episodes in less than thirty days, so I believe in your ability to do so too.

DeleteMy favorite show! I was late to the party and I was able to catch up on the first few seasons on Netflix. It was so much better because I could "binge watch" and didn't have to wait between episodes. Am currently watching it in real time and it kills me to have to wait a week! Such a great show. I'm back to loving Sunday nights again : )
