Impromptu Posts - Organizing

Share it Please
Hello everyone! I've been thinking a lot about my semi-spontaneous blogging lately. During December I was blogging every day because of Advent and I carried some of that momentum into January with me. I thought that if I had been blogging every day for a whole month it couldn't be terribly hard to continue throughout the rest of the year. Well, that didn't last long. I soon became overwhelmed with trying to come up with new ideas, blogging, and going to my real job everyday. This lead to a couple weeks where I only posted twice, which was far less than I'd like.

Thinking about it I realized the reason I was able to post so much during December was due to pre-planning and consistency. I had planned out the whole month of December during November. I went in with a clear cut plan, something I've no longer had during January. I decided it was essential to have a couple built in 'rest' days as well as a game plan for the 5 days a week I'll be blogging. Here it is:

I plan to stick with this calendar, to the best of my ability, from February 3rd onward. I believe this will be beneficial for all of us. You will know when I'm posting so you don't waste your time dropping by if there isn't a new post and I'll have a schedule to keep myself on track. Now for a quick run down on what the different titles mean, I've linked the titles to example posts.

Literary Libations - Who doesn't like curling up with a good book and a cocktail? After a long Monday at work you need a bit of personal time to recover. I'll share my cocktail of choice for the week along with the book I happen to be reading for a bit of inspiration. I plan to have these posts up on Monday mornings so that you have the chance to run by the grocery store on your way home from work should you be missing any ingredients.

Impromptu Posts - Tuesdays I will post about whatever I feel like. The theme for the day is that there isn't a theme.

Ridiculously Practical Meals - I personally don't like doing a lot of cooking on week nights, but I'm not going to go out to eat every day either. These posts showcase easy to create meals that won't exhaust you after a long day at work.

How To - These posts are exactly what they sound like, an instructional post that will hopefully give you ideas for your own life. This can range anywhere from how to watch your favorite TV show all the way to how to decorate an office or give a great massage.

The Week In Review - I will share pictures taken throughout the week so you will know how my life is going. This is the time I will share my personal struggles, goals, dates, etc. so that we can feel connected and relate even in the big and busy world of the internet. I'd love it if you shared a little bit about yourself in the comments on these days as well! I always enjoy learning about who you are and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to connect with you.

If you have any post requests that fall under these categories, please share them below! I want my blog to be as helpful as possible so don't be shy; if there is a cocktail you want to make, a book you've been curious about, a meal you want to cook, or something you want to learn how to do just leave a comment below and I will do my best to share it with you!

I'm going to try and stay ahead of the game so I don't ever get that rushed, panicked feeling. I'm having a great Tuesday so far and hope you are as well! I love your scarf in your latest post. :)
