Day Six: Saying Goodbye

Share it Please

Saying goodbye is never easy, but it becomes especially hard when you do not know the next time you will see the person. On Friday we said goodbye to several people.

The first goodbye was the hardest. Very early in the morning, my grandfather-in-law passed away. It was not unexpected and he was surrounded by those who loved him, but it was no less difficult for my husband and those who knew him best. I know he will always be remembered.

Then, at 11:00 a.m., we drove my parents to the airport. It was wonderful to have a week to spend time with them. We participated in so many fun activities, they got to spend more time getting to know my husband, and we were able to really catch up on everything that has happened over the last six months. I don't know when the the next time I will see them in person is (hopefully soon), so it was hard to say goodbye. We made some great memories, though. To those of you who followed along, thank you for sharing in our adventures!

I will be returning to the normal format this next week: Monday - Literary Libations, Tuesday - Impromptu Posts, Wednesday - Ridiculously Practical Meals, Friday - How To, and Sunday - The Week In Review.
