Days Four And Five: Ojo Caliente And A Hike

Share it Please

During my husband and I's honeymoon, we discovered a place named Ojo Caliente. It is a spa built around natural hot springs. It is perfect for relaxing and reviving. Just two hours away from where I live, it was a great day trip to take my parents on. Hubby had the day off and came with us. Unfortunately with all the water I felt uncomfortable taking my expensive camera out (I'm terribly clumsy) and they don't allow cell phones in the spa area. Because of this we missed out on the awesome picture opportunities from the mud bath. If you want an idea of what we would have looked like, go to Ojo Caliente's website and look under the photo gallery.

After a week filled with activities the down day was appreciated, plus it was still an activity unique to New Mexico!

On the last full day my parents were here we went out to brunch in the morning and went hiking in the afternoon. It turned out to be a very windy day, but we still had fun. Finally we stayed up late, talking in to the night. All in all I think it was a really great visit and I was so glad my parents were able to make it out here.
