A Roadtrip And A Wedding

Share it Please
I just got out of the car about an hour ago. We left LA at 3:00 a.m. and arrived back safely in Albuquerque around 4:30 p.m. (there's a one hour time difference, that means it took us about 12.5 hours). I'm a little loopy and a lot tired, but it was all so worth it! I hope to get back to normal with posting starting next week. In the mean time, here are some photos from this weekend.

We drove through 12.5 hours of desert both ways and got to see some amazing rock formations.

On Saturday we got in to LA with just enough time to walk around Santa Monica, see the sunset, and grab some pizza.

The whole reason for this trip was Alyssa and Sean's wedding. Don't they look beautiful together?

The wedding was so much fun, and Alyssa looked just stunning in her dress.

It was great to get to talk for a bit, even if briefly. The last time we saw each other was my own wedding.

We even got to meet up with some old friends from college! It had been 2 years since we all saw each other so it was fun to catch up and just hang out again. Right to Left: Isabel, Alex, me, Hubby.

As relatively newly weds ourselves, this was the first wedding Hubs and I have attended since our own. I felt it was not only a beautiful celebration of Alyssa and Sean's love, but also a wonderful opportunity to reflect on why Hubs and I got married as well. There's nothing like a wedding to remind you to celebrate your own marriage. We had so much fun watching the service, cheering for the two love birds, catching up with them during the reception, and dancing the night away. It will be a night we will remember for a very long time!
